Access Data/Log Files
We (or rather, our web hosting provider) collect data about every visit to the website (so-called server log files). The access data includes, among other things: Name of the webpage accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address, and the requesting provider.

We use the log data solely for statistical analysis for the purposes of operation, security, and optimization of our services. However, we reserve the right to review the log data retroactively if there are concrete grounds for a reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.

The forms on the website for table reservations or requests for hotel rooms and offers save all entered data both in an email sent to us and as a copy on the web server for later use. This is to ensure that we make it as easy as possible to contact you later. We also use this data to contact you in the future with information about new offers or promotions. Optional fields are provided to facilitate initial contact and subsequent correspondence. We make a point of marking only those fields that are truly necessary as required fields.

Inquiries that do not result in a specific business transaction with corresponding retention periods are also stored in our business contacts database to facilitate any correspondence in connection with future enquiries and business transactions. Furthermore, if we can identify a legitimate interest in a particular service area or product based on this data, it will be used to provide future information about those areas. Inactive contacts and enquiry details are deleted in accordance with our privacy policy after a certain period of time has elapsed since the last correspondence. You may notify us at any time, without providing a reason, that you do not wish us to continue using your data for this purpose, and you may also request that we delete it from the database.

If you give your consent, your name and email address will be stored in our email distribution list until further notice so that you can receive the lunch menu, which includes promotional information, among other things. Messages sent as part of a contractual relationship do not fall into this category. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie regarding users’ use of our website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled. This means that Google truncates users’ IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not combined with any other data held by Google.

Our purpose, within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest), is to improve our services and our website. User data is stored for a period of 26 months (according to Google’s current default settings).
